Go Fund Me - Help for Hector
Posted: 06/28/2015
Hector has spent most of his life living in a hot garage with no air conditioning in the North Carolina heat. Bored with his life in the garage, he would escape often to run and play with the dogs next door. His neighbor, Stephanie and her 2 dogs quickly grew fond of him and always kept an eye on him when he came over. On June 5th he was shot twice by a different neighbor because he came too close to his chickens. Two weeks later Hector showed up again at Stephanie's house. It was clear that Hector had NOT been treated for the bullet wounds. After returning Hector to his "home" time and time again, Stephanie decided it was time to get Hector the help he needed. After reaching out to her rescue friends at Mutts in a Rut Rescue and FIDO's Companion Rescue, she was able to get the neighbor to relinquish him and arrangements were made to get Hector the vet care he needed. He will soon arrive in Cleveland, where he will start a new life and be in the search of a loving, forever home! The money raised will be used to cover his vet care associated with bullet wounds, neutering, and all other routine vet care. Please help Hector get the care he so rightly deserves!
